Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about ECC? Here's some of the most common ones. If we didn't answer yours, we'd love to help you! Shoot us a message on our Contact page or give us a call.

What time is church and where is ECC located?

On Sunday Mornings our Java Cafe is open at 9:00am for breakfast. Service starts at 10:00am in the sanctuary. We suggest you get here a little bit earlier than that so you can pick your seat and get acclimated to the church.

Eastside Community Church is located at:

500 E Peak Blvd
Muskogee, OK 74403

What is a typical service like at ECC?

When we ask guests what their first experience at Eastside was like, they usually comment about how surprised they were that everyone was so friendly and how many people they already knew. We believe you’ll experience a great worship service, hear a practical message, be greeted by friendly people, grow closer to God, and find a church family that is with you for life. Service normally lasts an hour and fifteen minutes.

What do most people wear when they go to an ECC service?

Typically, you’ll find many different styles, from jeans to dress slacks. The most important thing is that we want you to feel comfortable. What you wear doesn’t matter to God, and it doesn’t to us either!

Is ECC non-denominational?

Yes, Eastside is non-denominational, but we are affiliated with the Church of God in Anderson, Indiana. For more about our history and beliefs, we encourage you to take the next Welcome to Eastside class.

What is there at ECC for my kids?

We love kids at Eastside. We have Children’s Service available for kids ages 5-12. There is also a nice, clean, well-stocked nursery for kids up to 4 years of age. You can locate all of our children’s areas by following the light blue walls on each side of our building.

Eastside Youth meets meets on Wednesday nights from 7:00pm to 8:00 p.m. Youth are encouraged to come as early as 6:45pm for student hang time. Wednesdays include free pizza, games and a lesson taught by our youth ministry team. At various times throughout the year our students attend summer camps, state youth conventions, and plan other activities.

What happens after the morning worship experience?

We invite you to visit our Welcome center. There, you’ll have the opportunity to find out more about Eastside, ask questions, and explore the different opportunities to connect with more people just like you, and even make some new friends. Make sure to drop off your connection card and pick up your free gift.

Will I be contacted after my first visit?

The only contact you’ll receive is a letter/email, and a call (just in case you have some questions). After the second and third visit, we’ll call to see if we could help you find a class or community group and to invite you to the next “Welcome to Eastside” class with our Senior Pastor and learn more about the history and beliefs of Eastside.
